As part of the time bank, Refugee Action Kingston has this year started a homework club.

We work with a small team of three tutors, who are supporting our clients’ children in maths and English.

Through the homework club, our tutors are able to gain experience, prepare themselves for further teachers training, and contribute to the local community.

As one of our tutors explains:

‘The time bank project has helped me gain experience for myself and sharing my knowledge and expertise as well to help others.’

Tutors are meeting weekly with their pupils to work on a program based on the children’s needs.

RAK is still looking for motivated tutors, so please get in touch for further information, or check our Current Opportunities to apply.
