Salary: £35 000 (including Outer London Weighting)

Refugee Action Kingston is seeking a new Director to lead the charity, manage its projects and staff team, secure funding for current and future work and help to set and implement its strategic direction.

RAK celebrated its 25th anniversary last year as a London Borough of Kingston-upon-Thames based charity working to assist refugees and asylum seekers. The charity provides a range of services, including advice and advocacy, a Learning Centre for English language and practical skills, and a specialist career advice project for refugees.  

The person appointed to this post must have a strong commitment to the welfare of asylum seekers and refugees as well as demonstrable success in developing and managing projects. Strong experience of securing funding and managing relationships with funders is essential, as is a good understanding of strategies and business planning. Knowledge of the current issues affecting refugees and asylum seekers would be an advantage.
