Full time OISC Level 1 adviser vacancy

We have an exciting opportunity for a full time OISC registered Level 1 adviser to join our advice team working alongside four other advisers and a volunteer solicitor.  

Your role will be to provide free and independent information and advice on a one-to-one basis to refugees and asylum seekers on immigration (Level 1), asylum, welfare benefits, education, housing and access to health and social care. See OISC Level 1 adviser job description for further details.

Hours: 35 hours

Salary: £29,720 p.a. full time equivalent (inclusive of OLW)

Fixed term contract to 31 March 2021 (extended subject to funding)

Clinical supervisor vacancy

Refugee Action Kingston is looking for a culturally aware clinical supervisor who is preferably available on Mondays (frequency and time to be agreed) to support our counselling team. 

We are particularly interested in applicants who have experience of working with one or more of the following:

  • Experience working with refugees and asylum seekers who can present with complex and severe trauma as well as coping with their ongoing immigration issues.
  • Working in a person-centred and integrated way with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Experience of providing individual and group supervision to counsellors who work with vulnerable adults with diverse needs.

The project delivers face to face appointments, case management, generates work experience placements, world of work tours and will form a network of employers & organisations who support our client group into the workplace. This work also involves engaging people to participate in the project. The work is target driven, job outcomes are integral to the success.
