Volunteer Counsellors
We are always in need of Qualified Volunteer Counsellors with experience of trauma and PTSD who can spare some time once a week and support our work. We need Counsellors who are fluent in a second language like Arabic or Farsi.
Job Hub Volunteer
Can you support someone to apply for jobs online, tailor CV’s, help with supporting letters and help prepare for interviews. We run a Job Hub session on a Wednesday. A job hub volunteer provides one to one support, whilst motivating and encouraging their job seeker to find a great job. If you are interested, please apply soon.
Volunteer Interpreters
Can you speak, Arabic, Farsi, Dari, Pashto, Korean, Kurdish (Kurmanji and Sorani), Mandarin, Tamil, Sinhalese or Vietnamese? We are looking for volunteers to help with interpreting and translation. If you are qualified interpreting looking for experience then please get in touch. If you are confident interpreting and have experience of interpreting for family and friends and would like to support others to communicate their needs please make a volunteer application, we would love to meet you. (this can be remote role on the phone or online)
Advice Volunteers
We are looking for volunteers interested in supporting our advisers. You will be trained to deliver face to face advice around education, health and benefits under the supervision of our Advice team. We ask for a weekly commitment of three hours in termtime.
Social Media influencers
We are looking for budding influencers who care about refugees and want to help curate content for our social media platforms. We are looking for people who can commit to two hours a week.
Community Hub - ESOL Volunteers
We are looking for ESOL teachers and/or people with experience of teaching English in the community. Please join our team of Community Hub volunteers delivering session, workshops, conversation groups and much much more.
Community Hub - Creative Volunteers
Do you have skill, talent or hobby, you would like to share with our Community Hub clients. Writing, acting, yoga, mindfulness, wellness, fitness , cyclist, footballer, table tennis player, cook, DIYer, social media influencer, job coach, upcycler, we NEED you. Homework Club volunteers
Do you have a teaching qualification and want to volunteer supporting school age children with their studies? We deliver a homework club once a week after school on a Thursday to support mainstream studies.
